The Wintour Effect.

I discovered this recent collection of videos documenting and interviewing the infamous Anna Wintour, Editor in Chief of U.S. Vogue. I am completely fascinated. This first video gives an unbelievable insight into life at Vogue, the offices and corridors almost exactly the same as how they were depicted in 'The Devil Wears Prada'. 

Here designers Donatella Versace, Ralph Lauren, Miuccia Prada, and Domenaco Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, praise Anna to high heavens. Unsurprising really since Anna can make or break designers and their collections each season.

"The Vogue closet. This is where the magic happens." Every season, the closet is cleared of stock and replaced with the new season's trends.

Marilyn's wardrobe.

An auction selling some of Marilyn Monroe's famous wardrobe choices is to be held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas at the end of this month. Some lucky and wealthy fanatics will be able to treasure glamouress garments which adorned the Hollywood icon. 

Among the items on sale is this white fox fur stole (in the days where ignorance was bliss) with a triple-pleated ivory silk lining often worn by Marilyn (valued at $12,000 - $15,000). And this Evans Sweson frame white umbrella used in a 1949 shoot of Marilyn on her first ever visit to New York. 

This blue and dusty rose coloured chiffon with silk embroidered flower details was adorned by Marilyn in 'The prince and the Show girl' and has an estimated selling price of over $20,000.

Katie's wardrobe.

My tiny little niece is putting me to shame in the wardrobe stakes. This is just one of her wardrobes filled with clothes just to do 'Age 0-3 months' alone. The other is not as pink but I liked how my sister has coordinated it by colour. 

I think this baby might be spoiled rotten by her adoring family!
