The Scandalous Moments of Tom Ford

Tom Ford's association with scandal was well underway long before his icy departure from Gucci. Remember the days when Tom Ford's ads were notoriously provocative with no less than three separate campaigns of his being banned in various countries?

The Gucci "G" emblazoned in the model's pubic hair:
Going completely bare for Tom Ford's Men's fragrance:
Tom Ford Eyewear ads, which were deemed sexually explicit(?!?)
And of course, possibly the biggest advertisement for himself was that Vanity Fair cover: the Hollywood issue where he posed alongside a naked Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson.

Mark Ronson for Gucci sneakers.

Gucci is launching a "pop-up" sneaker store that will travel the world selling a select range of sneakers, including a unisex city-specific pair of sneakers designed by DJ Mark Ronson. The store is said to be coming to the likes of LA, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo, staying at each location for only a few weeks.Despite his fashion designer sister Charlotte Ronson, some view the partnership between Gucci and the DJ an odd choice, but Ronson claims:

"I spent many, many years as an avid sneaker collector, so I wanted to make sure these Gucci shoes were truly special from an aesthetic and collectable point of view."

Gucci Flora by Chris Cunningham

I have always been a fan of Chris Cunningham's music videos for Aphex Twin and Bjork and I also have a soft spot for Gucci adverts of late. So Cunningham directing the new Gucci Flora advert was the perfect marriage in my eyes if not somewhat unexpected.

Though still in the beautiful tradition of the Italian fashion house, the footage was distinctly Cunningham with a mesmerizing display synced to an updated version of Donna Summer's 'I feel love'.
